Descaling Manifolds

Aside from manufacturing components for use in descaling equipment, Oilgear Towler also produce fully manifolded systems.
We design and manufacture a range of standard manifold units or alternatively we can custom design to customer specific requirements. We provide accurate and super finished bores. We can manufacture manifolds with machining weights up to 7 tons.

Descaling manifold

The descaling circuit shown in figure 13 consists of three selections:
1. Prefill
2. High pressure supply to header
3. Isolating valve

The prefill element is used to ensure the headers are constantly charged with water. This is to minimize the effects of shocks within the system.

The descaling section receives its supply either from the accumulator station and/or the pump directly.
As described in the descaling valve section, a pilot supply operates a venting valve, which controls the flow of water to the nozzle headers.
An isolating valve can be incorporated within the same manifold unit eliminating additional pipe work and leakage paths to be used for maintenance. The use of a manifolded design offers greater efficiency due to the reduced number of leakage paths.

Accumulator ASO

The ASO System is used to prevent uncontrolled discharge from the accumulator in the event of a malfunction or pipe work failure.
