1. Project Manager
 
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Individual responsible for major project activity within Oilgear Solutions Business. Responsible for successful project implementation starting with the purchase order negotiation / acceptance and continuing through start up / final customer acceptance of solution offered. Project Manager Position requires individual to assemble and direct project teams for a specific project assignment. Projects are expected to be varied in values from small projects that may be below $100K to projects that are beyond $1M each. Projects will vary greatly in size and complexity and delivery requirements.   Will have total project implementation responsibility. The Project Manager is expected to handle project(s) of varying values and schedule durations. The Project Manager is responsible for the project schedule, the project margin and for providing direction for 1 to 10 systems engineers/technicians, as well as interface requirements to operations and manufacturing and potential 3rd party suppliers in support of the project requirements.
 EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - Must Have
·         Successful Project Management requires a multi-disciplinary background. An engineering background is required.
·         Will have ability to show a substantial technical contribution in previous positions.
·         Will have demonstrated project engineering/project management experience in a similar environment (systems house, consultant or a "captive" project group in a user environment). 
·         Two to three years as a senior project engineering contributor and one to two years as a systems engineering contributor are minimum expectations.
Education Required

A Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent is required. Additional course work or training in Business Administration, Management, Operations or Project Engineering is desirable.

 


 

2. Electrical / Electronic Control System Application Engineer
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Individual will be responsible for working with Oilgear Sales to develop PLC & PC Based Controls solutions for hydraulically operated heavy machinery. This includes the developing PLC and PC based Controls concepts, performance analysis, detailed cost analysis, written proposals and providing sales support in the field. This position also involves regular interface with Oilgear Hydraulic and Electrical Engineering groups during the post order fulfillment process. Position will be expected to promote the sale of Oilgear upgrades to existing Installations and to competitive Installations within customer base and to create / develop PLC & PC Based controls solutions for new market applications.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
·         3-5 Years experience
·         Experience in Heavy Industry environment involving Hydraulically Operated machinery specifically in PLC and / or PC based control System Design, and sales proposal preparation. 
·         Excellent commercial skills, technical aptitude and knowledge of Industrial Automation Systems
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum – Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related engineering oriented background within the Industrial machine control environment. 
 

 
3. Hydraulic Application Engineer
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Individual will be responsible for working with Oilgear Sales to develop hydraulic solutions per customer requirement. This includes the developing hydraulic circuits, detailed cost analysis, written proposals and providing sales support in the field. This position also involves regular interface with Oilgear Hydraulic and Electrical Engineering groups during the post order fulfillment process.  Position will be expected to promote the sale of Oilgear upgrades to existing Installations and to competitive Installations within customer base and to create / develop hydraulic solutions for new market applications.

4. Electrical Controls Engineer Position- Traverse City, Michigan

Job Description
This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will provide you with the responsibilities of:
  • Developing electrical system designs, creating schematics, and BOM’s.
  • Assisting in the design and development of control systems using PLC’s and PC’s.
  • Building or assisting in the build of control cabinet panels.
  • Supporting the service group of existing systems in the field as needed.
  • Supporting system start-up/commissioning at the customer site.
  • Developing and supporting in-house equipment.
 
Job Requirements
An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with equivalent direct work experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and trouble shooting.
  • Willing and able to do domestic and international travel of 1-3 weeks duration several times a calendar year.
  • Willing and able to attend marine safety certification training.
 
Desirable Skills
The following skills would also be a plus:
·         Knowledge of Siemens Simatic PLC/HMI software and Hardware.
·         Knowledge of National Instruments LabView Software.
·         Schematic development using AutoCad.
