1. Commodity Manager
Location – Milwaukee
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION
This position is responsible and accountable for the negotiation and management of assigned commodity areas to support Oilgear’s global operations. This position will consolidate and leverage Oilgear’s spending with best-in-class suppliers for direct materials, parts, tooling and service commodities. The incumbent will ensure sourced products meet Oilgear requirements at a minimum total cost. The incumbent will develop and maintain key supplier relationships to the highest professional and ethical standards. This position has a close working relationship with the plant buyers, operations management, sales, product engineering and finance. Individual must be able to analyze data from many sources and make timely, intelligent decisions based on this information to ensure Oilgear’s strategic sourcing needs are met.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor degree in purchasing, operation management, business, engineering or equivalent is required
· Seven (+) years of general business experience is required in a procurement or supply chain function
· Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) and/or Certified Production Inventory Manager (CPIM) are desirable
· Above average computer skills, specifically expertise working with spreadsheets, databases, MRP and internet-based systems is required
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Commodity Responsibilities: Class A direct items
· Develop commodity and supplier specific strategies and innovative supplier management tools to drive performance improvements in the existing supply chain
· Negotiate with suppliers through strategic supplier alignment in assigned commodities to ensure the lowest Oilgear cost including consideration of price, quality, delivery and service
· Must create a competitive situation while developing and providing source selection options
· Develop and utilize cost transparencies and the Total Cost of Ownership for appropriate commodity responsibilities
· Provide regular communication and develop action plans for management on major activities to ensure the sourcing strategy and project direction is appropriate
· Ability to analyze commodities, industries, technologies and suppliers on a global basis
· Participate in Global Commodity Teams, as required
· Maintain an understanding of the markets, including pricing trends, new suppliers and alternative solutions and communicate to all appropriate stakeholders
· Develop and improve systems for supplier selection, auditing and performance management
· Understand and utilize supplier performance in the supplier selection and award process
· Drive supplier performance improvement as a focal point during all supplier discussions, including RFQ’s and negotiations
· Work with plants and suppliers to resolve supplier performance problems
· Work closely with Oilgear IT to develop reports and other tools to provide proper information to make effective decisions
2. Accounts Payable Specialist
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Accounts Payable Specialist oversees all phases of the payable functions and deals with any vendor-purchasing payable problems and account number problems. Responsibilities include invoice entry for multiple locations, including intercompany and foreign currency denominated invoices, into multiple accounting systems. Also responsible for paying invoices in a timely manner, involving matching invoices with receipts and purchase orders. Payment of invoices will be via check or electronic payments systems. Responsible for processing monthly reports including month-end general ledger closing entries, revaluation of foreign denominated invoices, confirmation of intercompany payable balances, and reconciliation of A/P sub ledger and general ledger balance.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of three years experience in accounts payable function in manufacturing environment
- Excellent computer and data entry skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and
- Experience with AS400 and ERP system(s), preferably Epicor (Vantage)
The Sales Correspondent is the central point for receipt, processing, distribution and closure of information regarding customer-specific quotes. Production orders, shipping, order entry and processing of all appropriate documentation. The person provides high quality service and acts as an administrative liaison between customers, Sales, Engineering and Operations and other internal Oilgear personnel. Will maintain customer schedule, plans, forecast, etc. Beyond general and administrative responsibilities within the Customer Support group further duties include customer correspondence primarily by telephone, electronic methods and written correspondence with customers on such issues as pricing, delivery, scheduling, shipping and sending acknowledgements. The Sales Correspondent communicates effectively across functional teams and departments and is self directed to ensure all information is accurate and updated daily. Any changes are managed timely and are communicated to the effected groups, when necessary. They are the key individuals pertaining to customer communication related to orders, replacement orders and current production requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - MUST HAVE:
- Minimum of three years customer support role in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent computer and data entry skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and experience with ERP system(s)
- Minimum of High School Diploma
Preference for minimum of Associate's degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related field
3. Marketing Specialist
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
This role is a key enabler to achieve the strategic initiative of cultivating a segment based focus for the Oilgear business. Responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and identifying key market segments for growth opportunities for Oilgear products. This position will lead the organization's strategic growth initiatives through the use of market intelligence and management of break out product programs in conjunction with existing business and operational activity. This position will lead the development of product and technology roadmaps required to penetrate the strategic market segments.
Experience Requirements:
· Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience
· Promote and drive strategic programs consistent with Oilgear strategic plan.
· Identify, validate, and implement growth strategies based on results of market analysis and market intelligence
· Expereince with identifying growth market.
· Research a particular markets and determine each segment within the market, potential sales opportunities as well as identify strengths and weaknesses of competition.
· Develop business plans and justifications incorporating financial and business rationale
· Ability to conduct competitive analysis
· Development and management of pricing structure
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of Bachelors in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering
· MBA in marketing helpful but not required
